Our contribution to the TRanSLIT consortium involves:

  • Generation and analysis of expression data of primary PDAC human tumors to delineate the contribution of different tumor compartments to the expression of different mediators of the ROBO/SLIT pathways
  • Establishment of in vitro and in vivo primary models to analyze the interaction of tumor and tumor microenvironment cells upon activation or disruption of the ROBO/SLIT signaling pathway

Expertise

In the Cell Identity and Tumor-Stroma Crosstalks in Pancreatic Cancer Lab we focus on understanding how different tumor cell identities are regulated and how they define complex interactions with the tumor microenvironment with the ultimate goal of finding targeted therapies for PDAC patients. For this, we closely collaborate with oncologists and clinical partners and apply a multi-armed approach that includes state-of-the-art omics technologies, the use of primary human in vitro and in vivo models, and bioinformatic analyses of public and self-produced patient data.
