TRANSLIT partner presents poster at the 16th Australian Peptide Conference

We are pleased to announce that Mohsen Hosseini, member of the TRANSLIT project team at Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), presented a poster entitled “Peptidomimetics to inhibit the SLIT2-ROBO1 interaction as a gateway to attenuate pancreatic adenocarcinoma” at the 16th Australian Peptide Conference, held in Launceston, Australia, on 13 October 2025. (https://www.peptides2025.org/)

This work, carried out in collaboration between the groups of Prof. Steven Ballet, Prof. Ilse Rooman, and Prof. Wim Versées, explores the design of peptidomimetics targeting the SLIT2-ROBO1 signaling axis — a novel therapeutic approach to reduce pancreatic cancer aggressiveness. The presentation highlights how peptide-based strategies may open new avenues for modulating tumor–stromal interactions in pancreatic adenocarcinoma, one of the central research objectives of the TRANSLIT consortium.
